"Lost" star Matthew Fox sent his former

ABC "Lost" star Matthew Fox sent his former landlord a case of fine wine for returning some of his long-lost belongings from his New York apartment.

One of Jeffery Wolk's maintenance workers found Fox's diary, wedding album and private photo albums while cleaning out the basement Fox lived in before he became a star on "Party of Five," the New York Post reported Monday.

Once the actor hit the big time, he moved to Los Angeles, apparently unaware of the items left behind in New York.

Wolk packed up the goods and sent them to the star, who rewarded him with a case of expensive wine and a personal thank-you note.

impossible to discuss "Lost"

It's absolutely impossible to discuss "Lost" without falling back on the eternal "Why:" As in, Why are these characters in situations which could/should/ would lead to other situations, mysteries or (even) answers? Then, of course, there's also the eternal "who?" too As in, who was that sultry mysterious beauty tormenting Jack (Matthew Fox) with offers of food, kindness and even personal information in last night's season opener?
